Description:
Gigante Jalapeno Pepper
The jalapeño pepper is a chili-type cultivar of the Capsicum annuum species, a species that also includes sweet bell, habanero, and cayenne peppers. Jalapeño falls in the middle of the pack in terms of spiciness, with a medium-hot punch. Exotic though they may seem, hot peppers have virtually the same cultural requirements as all other species in the Capsicum genus, including sweet bell peppers. Growing Jalapeno peppers requires bright sun, warm temperatures, and well-drained soil.
