Other Names: Mallow, Tree Mallow
Description:
Lavatera trimestris 'Ruby Regis'
A showy annual mallow with large, silky, trumpet-shaped flowers in a rich rosy-ruby pink, beautifully marked with darker veining toward the centre. The flowers are held above broad, maple-like green leaves, giving 'Ruby Regis' a lush, almost shrub-like presence in the garden. Its long stems and bold blooms make it particularly striking toward the middle or back of sunny borders.
