Description:
Aconitum napellus
Blue Monkshood is a striking perennial featuring tall, elegant spikes of deep violet-blue flowers with distinctive hood-shaped petals. Its richly coloured blooms rise above attractive, deeply divided, dark-green foliage, creating a dramatic vertical accent in the garden.
Perfect for woodland gardens, partially shaded borders and the back of perennial beds, Blue Monkshood thrives in cool conditions with consistently moist soil. Blooming from mid to late summer, this long-lived perennial is highly resistant to deer and rabbits and attracts bumblebees, providing beautiful late-season colour.
