Description:
Lilium 'Star Gazer'
Fragrant, up-facing blooms in rich pink with dark spots and crisp white edges burst from tall, sturdy stems in mid to late summer. This Oriental hybrid lily, often called “Star Gazer,” towers around 30-36 inches tall, providing dramatic height and color contrast in beds, borders, or cut-flower gardens. The glossy, strap-like leaves frame the showy blossoms, which open wide and exude a powerful, sweet perfume that really draws attention.
Best grown in full sun or part shade with rich, well-drained soil, this lily needs regular moisture during the growing season and protection from soggy roots. It’s ideal for grouping bulbs in odd numbers (3, 5, 7) for an impactful display. After flowering, remove spent stems, allow foliage to die back naturally, and mulch well in winter in colder zones.
