Description:

Salvia nemorosa 'Caramia Rosa'

This compact, bushy perennial forms a dense mound of gray-green foliage, topped with upright spikes of dark purple flowers that bloom from late spring into early summer. The dark stems and vibrant blossoms create a striking contrast, adding both color and texture to the garden. 'Caramia Rosa' is known for its improved compact habit and increased bloom count compared to its predecessor, 'Caradonna'.

Attracting pollinators such as bees and hummingbirds, this cultivar thrives in full sun and well-drained soil. It is drought-tolerant once established and is excellent for borders, containers, or mass plantings. Deadheading spent flowers encourages repeat blooming, and cutting back after flowering can promote a second flush of blooms in late summer.
